Guyana dashboard

The United Nations launched an initiative to register, map, and analyze gender based sexual violence in Guyana. Victims of sexual violence who report the crime to authorities—such as the police, hospitals, or NGOs—will be anonymously registered in the system to be developed. This allows the government to collect and analyse data on these crimes. Consequently, the designs required to be compatible for multiple different authorities, such as caseworkers, and portable platforms.

UX Design

After several meetings with the client, we outlined the requirements, features and design preferences. The dashboard needed to include a user sign-up form, a homepage, incident management and system management functionalities.
Furthermore the preferred designs were to feature the colors of the Guyanese flag, of which I incorporated through triangular design elements. Once the client approved the wireframes and user flows, the high fidelity screens were designed to be used for remote user testing.

Login page designs

I initially created several homepage design options, incorporating abstract facial shapes and diverse elements to reflect the inclusivity of Guyana's various ethnic groups. I initially created several homepage designs, incorporating abstract facial shapes and diverse elements to reflect the inclusivity of Guyana's various ethnic groups. One of the concepts featured close-up images of women from different ethnicities and age groups, while the triangular gradient banner symbolized the Guyanese flag. However, the client preferred a more vibrant, line-art style. To meet this preference, I utilized my skills with OpenAI and Midjourney to generate additional design options."

Final designs

The final design illustrates the user journey for creating a new incident ticket via a webform and reviewing the incident report in the database. Key features include a duplicate check, victim anonymization, happy and unhappy flow scenarios, and a knowledge base to guide users on how to fill out the form, understand the tool, and access information on Sexual Based Violence. The user management system was designed similarly to the incident management system, allowing admins to add or delete users and manage data access."

User testing

Once the client approved the final designs and features, I conducted remote user testing using Maze. I developed several objective questions about the flow, designs, and features to analyze the target group's interaction with the designs. After gathering valuable insights, I refined and improved the designs based on user feedback followed by the hand off to the developer.
